ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Alex Castro is a passionate mindfulness coach who values authentic connection, personal growth, and mindfulness. She believes that we are on this earth to come soul-to-soul and help each other become the most authentic version of ourselves. In addition, she is a firm believer that the quality of our life depends on the quality of our relationships – and most importantly, the ones we have with ourselves.
Her healing journey has taught her that personal development is not a destination but a life’s journey. She acknowledges that personal growth is a daily practice and emphasizes the importance of progress, not perfection. Through spirituality and mindfulness practices, Alex Castro feels a deeper connection with humanity, the earth, and a desire to connect with her community.
She serves the queer community, who have been generally underrepresented in the mindfulness space, offering a safe space to transform and connect. Her purpose is to incorporate mindfulness into the LGBTQ community and help indviduals live a more fulfilled life by connecting deeply with who they are and enhance their mental wellness through mindfulness and connection.
Alexandra now leads a mindfulness group called LGBTQMindfulness and has started a mindfulness movement in the LGBTQ community. She is able to create different environments where the LGBQT community can authentically connect with one another.
