Divas & Drinks: A Tribute to Jan Wahl

Frameline and the San Francisco Bay Times will proudly be celebrating Jan Wahl at Divas & Drinks @ The Academy on October 27!

Double Emmy Award winning producer, director, film critic, and television and radio personality Jan Wahl will be celebrated at the next Divas & Drinks featuring Sister Roma, emcee Donna Sachet, and special guests! Did you know that Jan was the youngest woman ever to be inducted into the Directors Guild of America? She has many a showbiz story to tell, and will be dishing with Sister Roma and Donna throughout the evening.  But wait, there's more! DJ Rockaway presented by Olivia Travel will be in the house, along with the Bacardí team. Team Another Planet Entertainment will be competing against returning champion Team Bank of the West during "Name That Tune."

Since this will also be the Thursday before Halloween, you are encouraged to dress like your film star muse and/or to don your favorite hat in honor of Jan for fabulous prizes. As Mae West—one of Jan's own muses—once said, "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough!"

TICKETS

Tickets are required (1 ticket per admission) for this limited-capacity, general admission indoor-outdoor event.

$10 all non-member invited guests; Academy Members & their invited guests FREE (up to 5 guests).

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Beverages for purchase and limited complimentary bites will be available (house wine, beer, & well drinks complimentary for Members). Food will also be available for purchase through The Academy. Our menus can be found here.

The Club will be open during regular hours for Members and their guests not attending this special event.
